Question on Farming

I'm sure someone somewhere has already asked this but,

Say you're farming for a rare item.

Would it be more fruitful to completely clear the dungeon or rush straight to the boss?

A link would be nice.

I believe that you want to get at least 12 mutant kills in order to max out the card rewards.

What about dungeons like Floating Castle, which can never have 12 mutants? (It has 8-9 on King's, period)

Well that would mean it's a full run anyway. xP Also, there aren't THAT many like them.

basically find the lvl of the item you want look to see if x is there then go to a dungeon that has the x for mob boss card for a better chance of getting it.

It all makes good sense, but it doesn't really answer my question of rush vs. clear.

Until we know for sure just how much champion monsters affect the bonus cards rate of being a rare, then there's no way of telling.

It's really your choice. Fast clear for more cards or full clear for a better, but unknown, rate of getting a rare card.

Personally, I'd fast clear. More cards = more chances to get a rare and less pots used. If you're in a party though... full run, definitely.

It's not just the card at the end, though. Depending on the dungeon you can also get rare drops from the boss or random mobs, the latter of which being another reason why a full clear isn't a bad idea.

it does answer it

as for the Champion mobs they dont effect the card rate that much at all Wikis have proven this.

I see that usually when I rush to the boss I find myself getting nothing from the cards, but when I kill enough champion mobs for the full treasure thing it usually gives me a item.

Is it just coincidence?
