Mega-mage threads

Should the 4 mega threads be organized in any way? Right now they're like huge masses of unorganized information.

Ok, the real question here is how would you organize them in the first place? You've already stated that they're 4 topics with unorganized information.

Aren't they just topics that people go to for help on their build and in some cases, just tips in general about their class? I don't see how you can organize the actual threads.

What I think you could do though is to split each of the class boards into 4 other boards for their subclasses. Might seem like a bit of overkill though... There's not nearly enough activity to justify doing a board split like that.

In short... they're fine the way that they are. Just curious though, what did you have in mind when you talk about organization.

Ideally they should be split between topics. And the sticky'd thread should just link to the appropriate information.

I seem to have answered my own question about how it would be organized without realizing it. It's just that Meru put it together in an elegant form.

I was thinking of changing the OP of each thread into a guide of sorts, like a FAQ section for each subclass.
Like I've seen questions about befriends, or spear versus pole, or cloth versus leather, etc etc. I don't know, this is a really prelim idea (brought on by my lack of sleep.)

I was thinking of making a linking directory thread to serve as the only stickied thread. It would include links to everything for mages. Of course a lot of new content would need to be made, such as build guides, strategies etc.

I'm not sure we need to comb through the old ones, but making a new sticky similar to Hellshreder's Slayer guide would be most beneficial.

Just make it like that... Have the generic Mage/Itemmage discussion under the Mage section, everything subclass specific is under the subclass category... Also do that for the other classes... Then we will probably have a lot more organization from there on...

I don't think the mage section will need to be split, we do not have a lot of new threads being made to warrant it.
