i agree with gehste. nade shouldnt randomly be used, use it in combo/situations you know they will get hit. for everything else, you have rising shot and all those cubes. maxed nade is a total waste of sp. steyr is kinda useless cuz i've never seen it used as anything except a poke, and because people only use it at far range, the second explosion doesnt let you start a combo either. 3k damage. meh. you have cubes for that. flamethrower on the other have is personal preference. some rangers get it, some dont. it's not a requirement at all.

EDIT: if they're far enough that the extended range of nade will hit them but lvl 1 nade wont, you wont have time to run to them and start a combo anyways. sometimes pros can be such retards -_-

nades do well against many classes. specially in expert ch . i figure u havent been there yet sepehr?

If you're not maxing nades for PvP, you're an idiot.

But I'll play devil's advocate and really try to understand this because it's straight up blowing my mind that any of you hit glad rank at all with dickless grenades. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the theoryfighter idea behind a level 1 grenade is that:


1. You are motherfucking pshycic. You always know where your opponent is running, when they will change direction, when they are activiating their skills and therefore, you can always snipe them out with tiny grenades. Your super powers ensure that you don't waste extra points on a larger radius, more potent grenade, because the better chance that your grenade is going to connect isn't nessiary. Lucky for you, this also applies to any similar skill, so you don't need to waste points on Ashe Fork on a PvP slayer, for example, you just leave that shit at level 1, and bam, psychic precision baby.

2. You don't just throw grenades - you only use them in situations where you know it will hit. So reset grenades all the way. But use grenades for zoning and threatening approaches? Never - approaching is a minor part of PvP anyways. For example, throwing a grenade at your feet isn't a good tactic against an approaching monk, and that monk won't see max grenades as being any more threatening than a level 1 grenade. Makes sense.

3. Grenades are a low priority skill in PvP. Same with Steyr and Flamethrower, despite their poking, zoning and even combo capabilities. The SP is much better used on... okay I'm lost, now I don't understand at all. What the fuck are you guys using the SP for?


Moral of the story - max your fucking grenades. Stop maxing something useless and put points where they count. Also look up Lee Jae Myung, any tournament video, or even any Ranger who is legit and watch them throw a man's grenade.

Full of craps in this thread. Grenade is one of the most OP low lv shit in this game. Get it and max it for pvp.

Paco got Glad 9 without nade so... guess you dont really need them when u have skill with your class... same for me being glad 7 with a pve build who knows
